BAITOUSHAN

Volcano series, China
Mahieu Diploid 97-238 B
[DIVERTISSMENT X JENNIE LOVE]
42 ML 7DOR,  4 way branching 28 buds 4:1  cascading SPIDER VARIANT

Named after a Chinese volcano since JENNNIE LOVE was the result of inermating the original H. f. rosea clones from China.  This plant is similar to BAGANA, but the form is more voluptuous, Cascades lightly and lacks the pinching. The color is a coppery, diamond dusted orange with a red chevron band.  Band has a hint of a blue overlay.  Throat is cadmium yellow to apple green. Good medium green foliage, and an excellent clumper --making a very showy garden subject.  The plant is probably a bit rhizomatous due to JENNIE LOVE's influence.   EXTREMELY pod and pollen fertile.
