CLOVIS POINT

Mahieu Diploid 98-803 SG
[PARLOR GAME X PERSIAN PATTERN]
42 M 9 DOR, 5 way branching, 25 buds 4.5:1 SPIDER VARIANT fertile both ways

This clear cadmium orange-melon variant has a very splashy, brushed oxblood eye.  The shape of the eye chevrons on the petals reminded me of the fluted Clovis points the first Americans used to kill mammoths!  The throat color is gold to olive green.  CLOVIS POINT makes a very loud garden statement and offers a great improvement in branching and budcount for this color class. The form is often cascading and much more artistic than these photos.
