Pochades

"Pochade" is a French word that roughly translates: pocket painting.  Traditionally, pochades were painted on the lids of cigar boxes and the like.  I consider anything a pochade if it was created in one sitting, and is of small scale.  I love these small paintings for their expressive paint quality.
