Commissioning Artworks

I am happy to create easle paintings or murals, in my style, for home or commercial settings. Please browse through the Galleries of Significant Works to see the range of my work, or view my slide show. You may then contact me about creating a work especially for you.  Below are examples of past commissions.

Summer Exhibit 2006

Poppies and Iris

54 x 32 inches, Lascaux acrylic on hessian, beech panel
Completed September 2005

This painting is based on my perennial gardens and the surrounding landscape.

Though not typical of my work, this piece was commissioned by the Jefferson City Country Club.  It is a scale reproduction, in oil on linen, of the first painting made of Jefferson City, Missouri.  The original is by an artist named Vogler, and was created in the early 1800's.

Completed circa 1991

This painting was commissioned by my elementary school principal, the late Lavinia "Tad" Asbury of Centralia, Missouri.  It depicts her father shocking corn in the early 1920s.  The farm was a site that I frequented on my horseback rides as a young person, and the landscape was, thus, imprinted on my psyche.  I worked from an old black and white photograph.

Completed circa 1989
